Mayor Baldwin shown here being advised by PNC Arena Security to stop harassing a ten year old child after the Carolina Hurricanes are eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin brought disgrace upon the office of Mayor and to the City of Raleigh as a whole in a vile display of poor sportsmanship as Game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs between the Carolina Hurricanes and the NY Rangers was coming to a close.

Keeping it classy, Baldwin bullied a child to the point of tears requiring intervention from security staff to get her to stop. The child’s only crime was to visit the city of Raleigh to cheer for her favorite NY Rangers hockey player at the PNC Arena. This is how Raleigh’s Mayor and official ambassador treats guests in Raleigh.

Below are the social media posts describing the events that took place.

It’s bad enough Baldwin has spent over two years abusing citizens who come to speak at City Council meetings. Now she is targeting ten year old children with her abuse.

Here, meeting attendees had the nerve to politely applaud a speaker’s comments and Baldwin threatened them with physical removal by the police.

cIronically, Mayor Baldwin recently started a new job with First Tee Triangle as their VP of Advancement. First Tee describes their mission like this:

First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. We’re Building Game Changers through our junior golf programs.

We can only hope that Baldwin’s position as VP of Advancement doesn’t put her in direct contact with the children enrolled in the program.

This attack by Mayor Baldwin on a child deserves a full public accounting and apology to the child, the NY Rangers, the Carolina Hurricanes and to the City of Raleigh and its residents. Nothing short of this will do.
