This chart shows you the contributions made to the candidates for this election cycle through June 30, 2026.
The chart shows you how much money each candidate has received in campaign donations. We have categorized those totals into four groupings.
Development – those directly or indirectly involved in the development industry such as developers, builders, land use attorneys, real estate agents etc.
Hospitality – those directly or indirectly involved in the hospitality industry such as restaurants, bars, hotels etc.
Self-Funding – many candidates are essentially funding their own campaigns this year and we are noting that in the data.
Other – all others
When reviewing this data it is important to look at BOTH the dollar amounts and the percentages. Candidates may have a similar percentage of their funding from developers. But, you need to factor in the total dollar amount in your considerations.
The candidates who stand out as being heavily funded by developers are:
-
- Mitchell Silver (Dist A) – 79%
- Corey Branch (Dist C) – 39%
- Clark Rinehart (At-Large) – 39%
- Janet Cowell (Mayor) – 37%
Several candidates have taken NO MONEY from developers:
-
- Josh Bradley (At-Large)
- Sana Siddqui (At-Large)
- Whitney Hill (Dist A)
- Jared Ollison (Dist C)
- Jevon Smith (Dist D)
A large majority of what the City Councilors are responsible for are decisions related to development. The development industry is supporting some candidates over others for a reason. It’s up to you to decide how you want to factor this information into your voting decision.
There will be MUCH MORE money poured into these campaigns before election day. But, the next and final finance reports won’t be filed with the Board of Elections until October 26. Just one week before election day and 11 days after early voting has started.
See the data for ALL candidates in the table below.
