WORK SESSION
Economic Development Initiaties
The City contracts with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce for economic development services and recruitment strategy. Raleigh Economic Development (RED), a program of the Greater Raleigh Chamber in partnership with the City of Raleigh and Wake County Economic Development, supports job creation and capital investment in Raleigh. RED is the primary economic development program for the city, leading business recruitment, retention, and expansion efforts and brand awareness activities while supporting talent and equitable economic development efforts.
During the work session staff provided an overview of initiatives and accomplishments.
EVENING PUBLIC COMMENT SESSION
- Public comments focused on opposition to Z-43-25, affordable housing, preservation, and safety issues. Three of the twenty people signed up to speak did not show up.
