Wake BRT: Southern Corridor Station Area Plan Virtual Open House
Virtual MeetingWinter 2024 Open Houses Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) New Bus Rapid Transit will connect downtown Raleigh to Garner Station via Wilmington Street. This will mean more frequent and faster bus transit connections. Station Area Planning New Bus Rapid Transit will attract new residents, businesses, and investment to areas around new stations. GSI in Urban Heat Islands Public Meeting
John Greene Park 401 Martin Luther King Jr BlvdRaleigh Stormwater would like your feedback on design and planting plans for this upcoming Green Stormwater Infrastructure in Urban Heat Islands project. Attend the upcoming public meeting at your convenience! Background Urban Heat Islands (UHIs) are areas throughout the city with few trees, little green space or large areas of paved space that can experience substantially higher temperatures than areas with more shade and less paved area. Raleigh Stormwater is identifying ways to use green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) to reduce UHI effects. Hybrid Midtown CAC Meeting
Eastgate Park 4200 Quail Hollow Dr,, Raleigh, NCHope that everyone is having a good year. In addition to all of the recent holidays, February was a special month for Raleigh CACs with the recognition and support that was approved by Council on February 6. While details on the renewed relationship with the City are still being discussed, the recent Council action has brought back a critical community driven means of information exchange with residents and City administration. The challenge for 2024 will be to strengthen and expand the function and relationship of CACs to all neighborhoods in Raleigh, especially in those areas where CACs have ceased to function due to lack of City support for four years. A special thanks to City Council and all of the volunteers and supporters of CACs that made the return of CACs possible. One more important note: The Six Forks Road Improvement project will finally be presented to Council during their session on February 20. Please encourage the Council to get this project moving. Time is ticking away and development is not waiting!
