The Art, Education, and Collections Committee encourages and oversees temporary public art projects, community art programs, and arts education initiatives. They are charged with review and approval of acquisitions to the Municipal Art Collection, community-initiated public art projects, and donations of artwork to the City. Stormwater Management Advisory Commission

This commission meets the first Thursday of every month. Members discuss various stormwater needs and issues. Then, provides recommendations to staff and reports to Raleigh City Council. Parks Committee

The committee is responsible for the study of issues related to park facilities, features, developments, and modifications. The committee prepares recommendations and proposals for the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board based on in-depth review and study of park-related issues and concerns. REFUGE Film Screening and Panel

Join us for a screening of the 2023 documentary REFUGE. The film follows a former white nationalist leader as he begins to confront his beliefs after connecting with a Muslim refugee doctor and the community in Clarkston, Georgia. Through their experiences, REFUGE looks at the roots of hate and what it can take to move past it. The screening will be followed by a discussion with local and national experts on how people and communities work through division, build trust, and find common ground.
