Come Make Your Own Recycled Wreath

Join us as we make wreaths with recycled materials! Each participant with be given a wreath form and will be free to create their own masterpiece. We will also provide lots of recycled fabrics, beads, wire and ribbon. If you have any recycled materials you would like to use, please feel free to bring them. Mordecai Historic Park 1 Mimosa St, Raleigh, NC

Hop on the Historic Raleigh Trolley to travel through time! During this series, we’ll visit different historic sites and museums in the Raleigh area for hands-on activities and to learn more about the past. Each month will feature a different field location with transportation provided on the Historic Raleigh Trolley. Participants must be accompanied by an adult; guardians attend for free. Digging Deeper: Stories in Local Archaeology

Mordecai Historic Park 1 Mimosa St, Raleigh, NC

As Mordecai Historic Park investigates its own archaeological footprint, the park will host a series of lectures with local experts sharing about their projects at historic sites, cemeteries, and more. In November we welcome Melissa Timo, Staff Archaeologist and Historic Cemetery Specialist with the North Carolina Office of State Archaeology. She will speak on her work in historic cemeteries throughout the state and preservation efforts, challenges, and local resources. Registration is not required but is encouraged. Dorothea Dix Park Leadership Committee
