Southwest Raleigh Community Engagement Meeting

Join us Monday night, March 11th at 7PM for our regularly scheduled Southwest Raleigh Community Engagement Meeting we will be meeting on Zoom. We want to hear from you and learn more about what you believe should be taking place in our neighborhood. Changes in Community Group Meetings - Comments and updates from our community leaders and residents. We plan to broadcast the meeting on Facebook if you would prefer to watch it and not participate. Our next meeting is scheduled for April 8th, 2024. Hopefully, we will soon have some encouraging information about returning to our traditional home at Carolina Pines Community Center. Raleigh Stormwater is hosting an open house style public meeting to share updates on the Pigeon House Branch Watershed Study Meeting Details When: Tuesday, March 12 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Where: Tarboro Road Community Center (121 N Tarboro Street, Raleigh 27610) Not able to attend? Visit the Pigeon House Branch Watershed Study website to learn about the study and see the survey results. What's a Watershed? A watershed is an area of land where rainwater collects and flows or drains to a larger body of water. That can be a lake, stream, river, or ocean. The Pigeon House Branch Watershed is located in and near downtown Raleigh where water flows to Crabtree Creek and then to the Neuse River. The goal is to identify ways to improve the watershed by: Reducing flooding impacts Renewing stormwater pipes and infrastructure that is in poor condition Improving water quality Repairing streambanks
