Join us in 2025 for our 7th Annual Mud Day Festival as we celebrate our wetlands and all things muddy and wonderful! Learn about local environmental groups in our area while participating in the fun activities they offer, visit local food trucks, and of course, slide in a giant mud pit! Kick off the new school year with some fun in the park! We’ll have backpacks and school supplies on hand, one per child, while supplies last. Note in My Pocket will be on site with free clothes in sizes newborn to adult. The Tarboro Road Community Center is excited to host a monthly Pop-up Roller Skating session! Join us on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for an afternoon of fun with a live DJ spinning the best old-school R&B, hip-hop, and funky beats for a perfect rhythm skate experience. This event is open to those 18 years and older, and remember, you’ll need to bring your own skates! Stop by the Center to register at the front desk and enjoy a welcoming space for skaters of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced skater, you will have a great time! We’re building a safe, inclusive roller skating community where everyone can have fun and help foster a vibrant, healthy roller skating culture here in the Triangle! The Dix Park Community Committee is an advisory committee designed to represent the diversity of the community and bring a broad range of experiences and expertise to the Dorothea Dix Park project. If you're looking for a place to hang out with your friends for the night, Green Road's Teen Hang Night is the place to be. The night will be filled with lots of free fun, which consists of making TikTok videos, video game competitions, basketball games, DJ, and other activities. Bring a friend to come have a great time!
