Join artist, Jean Gray Mohs, at Arts Access on Friday, Aug. 1, from 6 - 8 p.m. for a community engagement event to preview the public art concept designs for Caraleigh Park. This is your chance to explore the artist's ideas for the park and share your thoughts directly with the project team. Your feedback will help shape the final design for the park. This event is free. Join us in 2025 for our 7th Annual Mud Day Festival as we celebrate our wetlands and all things muddy and wonderful! Learn about local environmental groups in our area while participating in the fun activities they offer, visit local food trucks, and of course, slide in a giant mud pit! The Tarboro Road Community Center is excited to host a monthly Pop-up Roller Skating session! Join us on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for an afternoon of fun with a live DJ spinning the best old-school R&B, hip-hop, and funky beats for a perfect rhythm skate experience. This event is open to those 18 years and older, and remember, you’ll need to bring your own skates! Stop by the Center to register at the front desk and enjoy a welcoming space for skaters of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced skater, you will have a great time! We’re building a safe, inclusive roller skating community where everyone can have fun and help foster a vibrant, healthy roller skating culture here in the Triangle! The Dix Park Community Committee is an advisory committee designed to represent the diversity of the community and bring a broad range of experiences and expertise to the Dorothea Dix Park project.
