    Meeting Details We are hosting a public meeting to share updates on the Marsh Creek Watershed Study. In this meeting, we will share our results and recommended stormwater improvement projects that will reduce flooding, improve water quality, and protect the community. Parks staff will also provide information about the Marsh Creek Greenway project. What's a Watershed? A watershed is an area of land where rainwater collects and flows or drains to a larger body of water. That can be a lake, stream, river, or ocean. The Marsh Creek Watershed is located Northeast Raleigh. The goal is to identify ways to improve the watershed by: Reducing flooding impacts Renewing stormwater pipes and infrastructure that is in poor condition Improving water quality Repairing streambanks

The committee prepares recommendations and proposals for the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board based on in-depth review and study of park-related issues and concerns.     The Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board (PRGAB) will meet in-person in the Raleigh Council Chambers, 222 W. Hargett Street at 6:00 p.m. The Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. This meeting will be streamed for public viewing - watch meeting. The PRGAB meets on the third Thursday of each month.

    Come join Raleigh Parks and let us know what you think about the new proposed plan for Biltmore Hills Park. Tell us how you would make the park and the new park land off Cross Link Road better for everyone to enjoy. We’ll be outside between the pool and playground, with popcorn, snow cones, and games (while supplies last!). A cooled indoor area will also be open for more information and conversations with staff.
