Please join us in the Pioneer Building at Method Community Park to learn the latest information about the Method Park Bond Project, and share your thoughts on the programming and activity plans. This is a Community Open House event, so drop in any time between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Come out to Moore Square on Friday, April 26 as we honor the spirit of childhood and celebrate the children in our city during our Children's Day Event! There will be food, inflatables, crafts, games, and live performances from Raleigh Little Theater and the Raleigh Music Collective Children's Strings Class.  Bring a chair or blanket and stay for a family movie in the square- Space Jam! We believe that health is wealth here at John Chavis Memorial Park and to demonstrate that Raleigh Parks is partnering with the Raleigh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to hold a health and wellness day. This free, family-friendly event will feature mental health exhibits, physical fitness classes, wellness information, food trucks with free $15 food vouchers while supplies last, and more! Children's activities will include inflatables, relay races, and other friendly competitions with prizes including Raleigh Parks gift cards! The committee is responsible for the study of issues related to park facilities, features, developments, and modifications. The committee prepares recommendations and proposals for the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board based on in-depth review and study of park-related issues and concerns. The Parks Committee a standing committee of the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board will meet in the Raleigh Municipal Building, 222 W. Hargett Street, Conference Room 303 at 6:00 pm.

Come help us improve active transportation and connectivity in downtown Raleigh! The Raleigh Department of Transportation (Mobility Strategy and Infrastructure) invite you to drop by Raleigh Union Station (510 W Martin Street, Raleigh) on May 29, 2024, between 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. to learn more about our new Downtown Raleigh Mobility Study. The Downtown Mobility Study is a City-led initiative to streamline multimodal planning and policy recommendations for the downtown area. The study will be community-driven and will consider the competing needs of stakeholders, advocates, and business owners downtown and will serve as an update to the 2019 Downtown Transportation Plan. Open House Meet with City staff and our community partners who will: Describe the planning process Gather input on community priorities Identify opportunities and challenges The event will feature workshop stations, a community mapping exercise, and a comments wall.  Light refreshments will be provided. Raleigh Stormwater is hosting a public meeting to share information about the Saybrook Neighborhood Drainage Study and to hear your feedback. Stop by at your convenience to talk with stormwater staff! Meeting Details When: Wednesday, May 29 from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Where: Abbots Creek Community Center (9950 Durant Road, Raleigh, NC 27614) About the Project The City is currently conducting a study to identify improvements that address flooding in the Saybrook at the Falls neighborhood. The study includes data collection and modeling of the drainage system. Results of the study will be presented at the public meeting on May 29. We will also gather your feedback on the recommendations.

Raleigh Stormwater and Raleigh Parks are hosting the second public open house for the Wetland Conversion of Upper Durant Lake project. Join us to learn about the project progress and next steps, the preferred wetland alternative, and how you can get involved!
