Oxford Road Sidewalk Project — Public Meeting

The City is building a sidewalk along Oxford Road between the existing sidewalk and Reaves Drive and along Reaves Drive to the existing sidewalk on Kenmore Drive. We completed the advanced design plans, and our team wants to share the design with the neighborhood. After extensive work with other divisions and departments, the team has completed the advanced designs. We developed the design to minimize potential impacts on trees, the park's natural beauty, and create a safe pedestrian experience along the street. Join us, and learn more about the design. Battle Ridge Greenway Connector Project

The City is proposing to build two trails to connect the Battle Ridge and the Battle Ridge North neighborhoods to the Neuse River Greenway. Our team has completed the early design plans and we want to share them with you. Join us, for a drop-in style meeting Wednesday, August 16, from 4:30 -6:30 p.m. Barwell Road Community Center 5857 Barwell Park Drive Raleigh, NC 27610 This is a great opportunity  see the plans, ask questions, and give us your feedback. We propose to build two 10-foot-wide asphalt trails. One starts at the end of Mechanicsville Run Lane and runs to the Neuse River Trail at mile marker 20.75, and the other from Mackinac Island Lane to the Neuse River Trail between mile marker 20 and 21. This project is part of the Neighborhood Community Connections Program. The Program identifies, prioritizes, and builds new, walkable connections to parks and greenways.

Oberlin Road Streetscape Project Pre-Construction Meeting

We are making improvements to Oberlin Road from Groveland Avenue to just north of Roberts Street, with wider sidewalks, revised traffic lanes, bus stops, public art, and landscaping. Construction is scheduled to start early this fall. We are having a public Pre-Construction meeting to give residents and businesses the opportunity to: Meet the construction team; Learn what to expect during construction; View the traffic control plans; and, Ask construction related questions.
