  • Braceridge Road Pop-Up Meeting

    We're hosting a pop-up public meeting to share information about the Braceridge Road Drainage Improvements project. Join us to learn more about the proposed improvements and to share feedback. Pop-Up Meeting Details When: Wednesday, April 29 from 5-6 p.m. Where: Open Space Next To 4109 Batiste Road, Raleigh, NC 27613 Project Background Water from a bioretention area flows through multiple backyards and into the street, resulting in yard and street flooding on Braceridge Road between Batiste Road and Sunridge Road. This project will identify solutions to this flooding. Learn more about the project.

  • Stream Monitoring Workshop

    Learn How to Take Water Samples! We are hosting a training workshop for the stream monitoring program! The course will cover basic stream ecology, how to collect water quality samples, and include time for volunteers to practice sampling in the creek. Please come prepared to get a little wet and muddy in the creek. Long pants and boots are strongly encouraged. Registration for this workshop is required.

    Raleigh residents can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the City's recycling partner Sonoco Recycling located at 111 South Rogers Lane in Raleigh. Join the Solid Waste Services Communications team to see first-hand how recyclables get sorted, processed, and prepared.
