  • East CAC Meeting

    Lions Park Community Center 516 Dennis Avenue, Raleigh

    Hi Eastsiders! Please mark your calendars for Monday, 11 May 2026 from 7-9 PM for a special East CAC meeting. There has been ongoing incidents of petty crime perpetrated by youths in the neighborhoods west of Raleigh Boulevard. Neighbors are frustrated and are looking for more effective approaches to addressing this crime. I have organized a special East CAC meeting to hear from RPD officers in the Community Impact and Engagement Division and/or the ACORNS and Community Unit regarding better ways we can help curb this activity. Other city officials have been invited and are expected to attend. My hope is that we all leave with some approaches which will benefit everyone involved.   • Employment Access for All: An Interactive Dialogue on Disability and Employment

    Come take an afternoon break and enjoy some refreshments while talking about disability and employment. Date: Monday, May 18 Time: 2-4:30 p.m. Location: The McKimmon Center, 1101 Gorman St The event will feature keynote speaker Blaire Johnston, ADA Business Partner in the City of Charlotte Human Resources Department; a panel of individuals with disabilities who are successfully employed; and an interactive activity.
