  • West Raleigh CAC Virtual Meeting

    Virtual

    - Meeting -  Wednesday August 26th at 7pm It’s time to meet and talk about what’s going on in West Raleigh! There is a rezoning along Gorman street that is headed to Raleigh City Council and we will hear from the applicant about the proposed redevelopment of 3.55 acres. GORMAN STREET ASSEMBLAGE The proposed rezoning is to increase the allowed density from RX 3 to RX 7 which would allow for seven stories of building height. The existing residents of the 48 apartments at Rhyne's Gate as well as the 9 single family homes and 1 duplex will be displaced. We will also be joined by City Planning staff to hear about the conditions being proposed along with the rezoning application to mitigate the loss of Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH) West Raleigh continues to be a focal point for infill redevelopment and this project is a larger one that is meeting the increased demand from NC State's growing enrollment.
