Midtown CAC Hybrid meeting

Eastgate Park 4200 Quail Hollow Dr,, Raleigh, NC

The Midtown CAC meeting on July 24 will follow the hybrid format that we have been using for the past few months. The in person meeting will continue to be at Eastgate Park community center and the virtual presentation will utilize a Zoom link. In addition to our normal update on community safety and Council updates, we will hear a presentation for a proposed town house development on Dartmouth Road, which currently contains two single homes zoned as R-4. The development will utilize the process of Missing Middle, which is a first for this area of Midtown and the Farrior Hills neighborhood. I encourage all interested residents to attend. Appended is the agenda for the meeting and the combined minutes / presentations for the previous June MCAC meeting. Please review the minutes before the July meeting. If there are any advance comments on the minutes, please send them to my attention. The Zoom connection will be the same as previously used, as outlined on the agenda. National Night Out

The Raleigh Police Department believes the foundation for a safer community is knowing your neighbors and surroundings. National Night Out is an effort to strengthen the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement. It also promotes neighborhood camaraderie to create a more caring place to live. The event, always on the first Tuesday in August, has been held annually nationwide since 1984. The Raleigh Police Department has supported National Night Out for more than 30 years. This year National Night Out will be observed on Aug. 1. In observance of National Night Out, RPD asks you to leave your porch light on from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The porch light symbolizes alertness and awareness; it makes your neighbors and friends feel welcome. RPD also asks you to get to know your neighbors better. If you want a community officer to stop by your National Night event, please email us at Nationalnightout@raleighnc.gov Monday, July 17. Check back here for a list of National Night Out events in your area!
