Please come out to Moore Square in downtown Raleigh on Monday, October 13 at 12:15 pm for a ceremonial planting of an oak tree, the first of 250 trees to be planted in Raleigh in celebration of our nation's 250th birthday. This wonderful campaign to plant 250 trees is being organized by Rotary Club of Raleigh. They are raising funds and partnering with the City of Raleigh and other organizations to plant the trees over the next year. The City is seeking input from residents about priorities for the next City budget. The Budget and Management Services Department (BMS) will host listening sessions between October 1 and 16, and a budget priorities survey will be available between October 1 and November 30.
