B.2 Item 24-02: Hours of Operation - Commercial Trash Pickup The City Attorney's Office initiated contact with solid waste haulers to gather information regarding early morning collection practices and to assess the potential impacts of a proposed amendment to the noise ordinance. A feedback form was distributed, and the responses have been compiled into the attached chart. C. AGENDA B.1 Special Committee on Council Advisory Boards and Commissions - Public Comment Session Evan Raleigh, City Manager’s Office Tiesha Mosley, Department of Community Engagement During the August 19th meeting, City Council charged the Special Committee on Boards and Commissions with hosting a public input session. Prior to the public comments, staff will provide a brief presentation on committee actions to date and outstanding action items. City Council adopted a series of amendments related to the structure and function of various City advisory boards and commissions on July 1. The approved changes include: The adoption of a standard bylaw template to be used by all boards and commissions; The approval of a document offering guidance to members of Council serving as liaisons to a board or commission; The merger of the Historic Resources and Museum Advisory Board with the Historic Cemeteries Advisory Board; Changing the name of the Fair Housing Hearing Board to the Fair Housing Advisory Board; and Amending the name of the Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities and aligning the Council’s appointment, term, and removal process with other advisory boards and commissions as outlines in the City […]
