• Community Meeting about GoRaleigh Access

Pullen Park Community Center 408 Ashe Ave, Raleigh, NC

RALEIGH, IS THIS HOW WE TREAT OUR SENIORS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES? MR. SEAN ABRAMS, OUR COMMUNITY HAS WAITED LONG ENOUGH! GoRaleigh Access riders report a transportation system plagued by communication failures. 30–60 minutes to reach dispatch — IF you get through! The callback feature introduced July 14 reportedly DOES NOT WORK! No reliable way to locate vehicles or know when transportation will arrive! Nearly 10 YEARS OF PROMISES for better communication technology! The City of Raleigh contracts with RATP Dev to provide these services, yet our community continues reporting serious failures. ENOUGH OF “IT’S ON ITS WAY!” WE DEMAND ANSWERS! COMMUNITY MEETING — EVERYONE IS INVITED! Tuesday, October 13, 2026 6:00–8:00 PM Pullen Park Community Center, Raleigh I have personally invited current Raleigh City Council members, City Council candidates, transportation officials, and community representatives to attend. Mr. Sean Abrams is expected to be there. I also hope his supervisors and senior City leadership will attend. PLEASE COME AND HEAR DIRECTLY FROM OUR SENIORS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ABOUT HOW THEY HAVE BEEN TREATED BY THE CITY OF RALEIGH’S TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM. Hear their experiences. Listen to the questions. Hear how City leadership responds. I ASK YOU ONE SIMPLE QUESTION: IS […]

  • Midtown CAC Hybrid Meeting

Eastgate Park 4200 Quail Hollow Dr,, Raleigh, NC

Please mark your calendars for this month’s upcoming Midtown CAC meeting. Our agenda includes the monthly police activity report for Midtown and updates from our City Council representatives. Due to the City staff blackout for CAC presentations, in place until after elections, we are taking a different direction this month. Our guest speaker will be local realtor Maya Galletta, with Legacy Partners, Remax United. She will provide us with an update on the Raleigh real estate market with some discussion on market analysis and the need for different forms of housing. With people still moving to Raleigh at a very high rate, the question becomes whether our current housing production is meeting that need. Does the City approach of density, density, density everywhere help us provide sufficient housing for all sectors, while preserving the uniqueness and character of existing neighborhoods? Should be an interesting discussion. Please join us for that conversation. One special note: the November meeting date has been revised to November 16 so that we don’t compete with any family or vacation planning for the week of Thanksgiving.

Hi everyone.  The next meeting of the Central CAC will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27 at the Tarboro Road Community Center. In this meeting we'll hear from candidates for the Raleigh city council's District D seat.  Incumbent Jane Harrison and challenger Jevon Smith will each speak about their campaign and take questions from the audience. We'll also see a presentation by designers from SfL+a Architects on The Oakline, a proposed elevated pedestrian connector from downtown to Dix Park.  This is a chance for us to have a look at the proposed project and give early feedback directly to SfL+a and our District D city councilor. In this meeting we'll also take a few minutes to discuss future meeting topics, including a forum on public safety and presentations on housing, with emphasis on how we can help keep current residents in their homes.  We'll additionally talk about establishment of committees to manage special CAC projects.  Please come out and give your input on these issues. I'm attaching a flier announcing the meeting.  Please feel free to print and distribute copies of the flier in your neighborhoods.  And of course tell a friend or neighbor when you see […]
