Southwest Raleigh Community Engagement — In-Person Meeting
Carolina Pines Community Center 2305 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC, United StatesSW Community Meeting at the Carolina Pines Community Center (2305 Lake Wheeler Rd.). We will meet in person, without streaming, next Monday evening, June 9th, at 7:00 pm. There will be reports from Raleigh Police Officers and City Inspections. We plan to have a special update from Lisa Genschel, of the Dix Park Conservancy who will tell us about a new way to participate in and support Dix Park activities. The official opening of the beautiful new Gipson Play Plaza at Dorothea Dix Park is scheduled this coming weekend (June 6-8). Carolina Pines Improvement Project - With the contract for construction along the entire length of Carolina Pines Avenue having been awarded we should be seeing a Pre-Construction meeting with our neighborhood in the coming weeks. That meeting for Community with the City Engineering Services and Contractor will be at Carolina Pines Community Center. Date and time TBD. I have been told that we can use the Center's freezer. Therefore, I will, as previously promised, donate ice cream. Please come and help with the ice cream.
