Hearing from residents, businesses, and organization is critical to creating an equitable City budget. New Applicant Workshop for 2024-25 Arts Commission Grants – Virtual

Interested in learning more about the City of Raleigh Arts Commission Grants and whether your nonprofit organization is eligible to apply for this funding? Two one-hour New Applicant Workshops will be offered this November and are open to anyone interested in learning more about Arts Grant funding. This virtual session is on November 8, but an in-person session will be held on November 11. The New Applicant Workshop introduces prospective applicants to the grant program and provides in-depth information about eligibility requirements, the application process, and what happens once a grant has been awarded. Raleigh nonprofits who currently do not receive Arts Grant funding but plan to apply for 2024-2025 funding are required to attend one of the two available sessions. Joint Raleigh/Wake Homelessness Task Force

The purpose of the Task Force is to bring together a diverse group of community stakeholders to carry out a number of tasks including, but not limited to the following: Understanding and assessing the current elements of the homeless service system in Wake County Identifying and prioritizing emerging issues related to homelessness in our community (e.g., homeless encampments and enforcement) Making recommendations to local government units and homeless service providers to improve the homeless service system Providing the community with information about available resources that exist within the homeless service system The work of the Task Force is intended to be time-limited in nature with the engagement anticipated to be six to nine months in duration.  Meetings of the Task Force will occur once per month from 10am to 12noon and preliminary meeting dates, times and locations have been identified and are listed below.
