The site includes our latest housing affordability data for Wake County's workforce and families, income-to-rent ratio details, educational resources on rezoning and housing terminology, and the results of our recent housing survey of 500 Wake County residents.     ONE Wake Candidates and Elected Officials Assembly being held on September 19, 2026 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at  Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC 27613. More than 1,200 ONE Wake leaders from across Wake County will be in attendance. During the assembly, they will publicly present their affordable housing plan and share their vision for ensuring that working families, teachers, first responders, seniors, and other residents can continue to afford to live in the communities they serve. The goal is to explore practical ways that ONE Wake and the elected officials of Wake county can work together to expand affordable housing and strengthen Wake county.

    We will hear a presentation from Dave Klemp who runs a non-profit dedicated to preserving and planting native trees. It's called Trees for the Triangle and they have made some impressive gains in the tree canopy in Raleigh, having planted over 5,000 trees in the past 8 years. Their mission statement is clear: At Trees for the Triangle, our mission is to improve the social and ecological resilience of the Triangle area through the planting of native trees. We believe that trees are vital to the well-being of our communities and the environment. Trees are not just aesthetic additions to our landscapes; they are powerful agents of positive change that can directly improve the lives of everyone in North Carolina.   We hope you can join us on Wednesday evening via zoom to learn more.
