Please join us for our East CAC meeting next Monday the 18th at 7pm at the Lions Park Community Center. We will have a representative from the city discussing the Greenway Project. Specifically the Raleigh Blvd Realignment and Relocation Project and Crabtree Creek Improvements. We’d also like to hear your thoughts on all things East Raleigh!

Friends and neighbors: SW Community Holiday Meeting at the Carolina Pines Community Center (2305 Lake Wheeler Rd.) We will meet in person, without streaming, next Monday evening, December 9th, at 7:00 pm. There will be reports from Raleigh Police Officers and City Inspections followed by social time. We also plan to have an update about Carolina Pines Park's facilities additions. I have been told that we can also use the Center's freezer. Therefore, I will, as previously promised, donate some ice cream. Please come and help with the ice cream. Holiday cookies and delights will also be very welcome. Since I have no idea as to how many will attend I don't need to be left with melting cartons and no freezer space. Please bring help. Kids welcome. This meeting is intended to be focused on sharing interests, and concerns and just acquainting ourselves with our neighbors. Several of our City Councilors have indicated they plan to attend. Please join this gathering if you can. Hopefully, we will have a good turnout. I plan to schedule in-person meetings four times a year. Mordecai CAC the key to strong community Hey neighbors! Join us on Tuesday 12/10 at Pelagic Beer and Wine at the MCAC Holiday Social. Amanda and Matt from Pelagic are hosting and will have the firepit set up outside and some tasty beverages for us. Stop by to visit and have a drink, and chat with your neighbors. We are looking for more community members to step up and get involved with our organization. This casual Holiday Social is a great place to meet people who have been volunteering with the CAC and learn more about it. We'll have a short announcement time around 8pm. Holiday Social Tuesday December 10th at 6pm As we approach the end of a busy year we hope you can join us for an in person gathering of the West Raleigh CAC and take some time to connect with each other. We won’t have any business items to discuss but we will have refreshments! Please bring your favorite holiday treat to share with the group and if we have enough we will share with our first responders at Raleigh PD and local firefighters at Station 8. Hi Neighbors! We’ve got an exciting CAC meeting coming up next Monday the 13th at 7pm. We’ll have a city planner discussing the newest comprehensive plan. The Comp Plan impacts everyone in our city and addresses a range of issues- Housing Choice/Affordability Stormwater Management Traffic/Transportation Trees/Urban Forestry Infrastructure/Services Neighborhoods It’s a long range policy document that establishes a vision for the city and provides guidance for growth and development. In short, it’s SUPER IMPORTANT! As you can probably tell I’m pumped about this meeting, and I’d love to see you all there! As usual we’ll be meeting in the Lions Park Community Center at 7pm on Monday, January 13. Mark Turner, our technology extraordinaire, will be live streaming from Facebook if you can’t come in person.
