The purpose of this meeting is an organizational meeting and to elect officers to serve a term of 1-year as leaders of ECAC. Open positions include Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary. Hi CAC neighbors, Our Hillsborough-Wade CAC meeting this month will be on Tuesday June 25th at 7:00 PM. We’ll be meeting on Zoom, the invitation and meeting link are at the bottom of this email. Thanks to H-W CAC Vice President Will Hooker’s efforts, we will have two presentations about public art in Raleigh! There are a lot of programs Raleigh residents can take advantage of, and this is your opportunity to learn about them and ask questions. Our next Five Points CAC virtual (Zoom) meeting is next Monday, July 8th, 7-8pm. To join the Zoom meeting https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84111555416 We will have a police report and a guest speaker from the City of Raleigh, Barbara Godwin, Bike & Pedestrian Project Manager, to discuss the Downtown North-South Greenway Connector, https://raleighnc.gov/projects/downtown-north-south-greenway-connector, and the West Street section of it which will bring it to Five Points. Our July Meeting Looking at Virtual, In-Person, or Hybrid Meetings - Opportunities are approaching where we will consider what format we use for our monthly meetings. Many have become comfortable with the Virtual format. How we communicate has changed over the last four years. Should we return to the in-person meetings where we met at a community center for many years? We need to look at options and listen to what our community feels is best for us. Please feel free to use this time to bring your comments, and concerns, to the group. We want to hear from you and learn more about what you believe is the best pathway ahead. Good morning,  "Informed + Engaged=Empowered  SECAC July 2024 Community meeting When: Thursday, July 11, 2024. Where: Barwell Road Community Center 5857 Barwell Park Drive. Raleigh, NC 27610 Time: 7:00 pm This meeting may be recorded to allow sharing with Southeast Raleigh residents. The Citizen Advisory Councils (CACs) were established to promote citizen participation in city government, disseminate information to communities and solicit views on matters affecting the wellbeing of the citizens. See attached map for area covered within the SECAC. We need residents of the Southeast Raleigh area to step up. If you would like to give back to the community and be a part of what impacts, you and your community. We will be electing SECAC officers at our July 11,2024 for the following: Positions for Two Chairs, Two Vice Chairs, Recording Secretary, Multimedia Coordinator.
