Residents and guests, The Midtown CAC meeting on August 28 will follow the hybrid format that we have been using for the past few months. The in person meeting will continue to be at Eastgate Park community center and the virtual presentation will utilize a Zoom link. Last month, we had a discussion about a proposed town house development on Dartmouth Road. If you missed it, the video link of the meeting is contained in the previous meeting minutes, posted on our Facebook page and YouTube for reference. This month, we will have a followup discussion on Missing Middle, which is the basis of the town house proposal in Farrior Hills. In addition, we will hear a City presentation on the Northern Corridor, which will provide rapid transit from downtown to the Midtown area. The routing is still under discussion. I encourage all interested residents to attend. Hi Hillsborough-Wade CAC neighbors, We’ll have our Hillsborough-Wade CAC meeting on Tuesday, August 29th at 7:00 PM. We’ll meet on Zoom (see link at the bottom of this email). Join us Monday night, September 11th at 7PM for our regularly scheduled Southwest Raleigh Community Engagement Meeting we will be meeting on Zoom. Greetings to Friends and Neighbors City of Raleigh Inspections Report - Inspector Doug Lilly. City of Raleigh Police Department Monthly Report and Update – Captain Wood, Captain Rowland. Our community is now part of three Raleigh Police Districts. Our September meeting will follow our established Open Discussion format - Community comments and discussion are welcome. Tell us all what you believe we need to know. How about the numerous development cases that we are seeing? How about streets, traffic, and the horrible litter is thrown on the side of our streets? Changes in Community Group Meetings - Comments and updates our community leaders and residents. We plan to broadcast the meeting on Facebook if you would prefer to watch it and not participate. Our next meeting is scheduled for October 9th. Current plans are to ask for information on how streets can be made safer.
