Calling all impact-oriented companies, social enterprises, non-profits, universities, and innovators that seek to strengthen Raleigh’s thriving innovation ecosystem. The City of Raleigh’s Office of Strategy and Innovation (aka Office of Yes, And!) is proud to announce the Fall 2023 Impact Partner Grant Request for Proposals. In line with our office’s vision to serve as a model for inclusive innovation and achieve the seemingly impossible, the Impact Partner Grants provide funding to organizations that help underrepresented innovators, entrepreneurs, and small businesses start, stay, and grow in Raleigh. Join Cristina Leos, Senior Innovation Strategist for the City of Raleigh, for a virtual information session regarding the Impact Partner Grant program, eligibility, and submission process. All proposals are due by 11:59 pm ET on September 15. Parks Committee

The committee is responsible for the study of issues related to park facilities, features, developments, and modifications. The committee prepares recommendations and proposals for the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board based on in-depth review and study of park-related issues and concerns. The Parks Committee a standing committee of the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board will meet in the Raleigh Municipal Building, 222 W. Hargett Street, Conference Room 303 at 6:00 pm.

Small School visiting artist Kenseth Armstead shares his work and process with Director of the Visual Art Exchange Kayla Coleman in a conversation around the potential for public art to illuminate dialogue within and between communities. In exploring how public art provides insight and deepens understanding of community issues such as displacement, gentrification and non-recognition, Kenseth and Kayla invite audience members to consider and share issues specific to their own communities.
