A short presentation will be made on the proposed designation of the George and Jessie Morris House / Lustron House, 314 Haywood St.
Criteria for Designation
No building, structure, site, area or object shall be recommended for designation as a historic landmark unless it is deemed and found by the Historic Development Commission to be of special significance in terms of its historical, prehistorical, architectural, archaeological and cultural importance and to possess integrity of design, setting, workmanship, materials, feeling and association.

Recombination – RCMP-0137-2026 (514 Method Road)
Staff Contact: Collette Kinane, Senior Preservation Planner
The Unified Development Ordinance gives RHDC the responsibility to review Non-Subdivision Final Plat and Recorded Instruments (also known as recombinations). This is different from the review and recommendation authority for subdivisions.
Case RCMP-0137-2026 (514 Method Rd) is a recombination to formalize the existing boundary lines. 514 Method Road is a city-owned park that contains several Raleigh Historic Landmarks, including the Berry O’Kelly School Campus and the Agricultural Building of the Berry O’Kelly School. The request is a requirement of the site review process for the COA-approved construction proposed on the site.
Recommended Action: This item is review only, no action will be taken by the Commission. The Commission may choose to offer suggestions to the applicant.
