ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED B.1 Economic Development Initiatives Evan Raleigh, City Manager’s Office Kyle Touchstone, Raleigh Economic Development As Council will recall, the City contracts with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce for economic development services and recruitment strategy. Raleigh Economic Development (RED), a program of the Greater Raleigh Chamber in partnership with the City of Raleigh and Wake County Economic Development, supports job creation and capital investment in Raleigh. RED is the primary economic development program for the city, leading business recruitment, retention, and expansion efforts and brand awareness activities while supporting talent and equitable economic development efforts. During the work session staff will provide an overview of initiatives and accomplishments. Included with the agenda materials is the most recent quarterly report for the current fiscal year. C.
