    The Police Advisory Board serves as a liaison between the Raleigh community and City Council.   • Planning Commission Committee of the Whole

    Raleigh Municipal Building 222 W. Hargett St., Raleigh, NC, United States

    The Committee of the Whole is an informal special meeting of the full Planning Commission, held to facilitate further discussions on specific referral items. The Planning Commission bylaws state that rezoning requests that are deemed inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan and future land use map are automatically referred to the Committee of the Whole. Additionally, requests for Planned Development or Campus District are also automatically referred to this Committee. The committee typically meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. The meetings are held at the Raleigh Municipal Building (RMB), located at 222 West Hargett Street, in the Council Chamber or in conference room 305.     Feb. 1 - April 26, 2026 Join us for an artist talk and reception for The Road Through “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” on March 26 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. The Road Through "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" is an intimate documentary exhibition sharing the portraits and stories of LGBTQIA+ veterans who served before the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” The exhibition includes intimate portrait photography paired with first-person oral histories by photographer, oral historian, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Theresa Scott. Whether it’s cars, buses, trains, scooters, or walking, everyone has their own story and experience.  C.I.R.C.L.E.S.: Along the Road We Share invites Raleigh residents to tell true, personal stories about transportation and how it has shaped their lives. This event is held in partnership with Two Dots Studio. Community members interested in sharing a personal story (approximately 10 minutes) are encouraged to sign up on Microsoft Forms. Young EGG-plorers will venture into designated areas for a captivating search of luminous eggs and prizes. While the music sounds, youngsters can move around collecting eggs, but like musical chairs, each time the music stops, participants must freeze in place. Once the music strikes back into action, they can continue in search of goodies. Let’s LIGHT up the night with a dazzling hunt and SHELL-ebration! This will be a night to shine and is sure to spark fun with electrifying themed crafts, interactive games, radiant face painting and dynamic dance moves.
