Hop on the Historic Raleigh Trolley and learn about the strange history of historic house moving in the City of Oaks! For nearly 200 years, Raleigh citizens have preserved their historic buildings by moving them from place to place. Join us for movie nights this summer at Pullen Park! Families, friends, and film lovers of all ages are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs for a season of outdoor cinema on the event lawn. Screenings will take place on the first Tuesday of every month, kicking off in June and concluding in October. All screenings are free and open to the public. Celebrate Atlantic Avenue The City is excited to celebrate the Atlantic Avenue Improvement Project with a ribbon-cutting event! The project enhanced Atlantic Avenue between New Hope Church Road and Highwoods Boulevard with new sidewalks, a multi-use path, a median with turn lanes, and a new traffic signal at Bramer Drive. These improvements make it easier and safer for people to travel along the corridor. See what's new along Atlantic Avenue! Public Art Along the Corridor The project also includes public art by Durham artist David Wilson. The artwork adds a creative element to the corridor and incorporates poems by Johnny Lee Chapman, III. Learn more about the public art on Atlantic Avenue!
