Following the previous email sent last week regarding the Neuse River Park Master Plan, please note the following important corrections to the timeline and meeting format: The August 27 Community Advisory Group (CAG) meeting will now be held virtually. The agenda and virtual meeting details are available on the engagement portal. The target date for the Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board meetinghas been updated to November 21, 2024 (previously October 17). Neuse River Park Master Plan Update We wanted to provide you with a few important timeline updates regarding the Neuse River Park Master Plan. Raleigh Parks is targeting the October 17th meeting of the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board Meeting for Master Plan approval. Upcoming Public Meeting Raleigh Stormwater is hosting an open-house style public meeting to: Update the community on project progress and next steps Present the process used to develop design alternatives Present the preferred wetland alternative recommended by the design consultant and chosen by the City of Raleigh Seek input on design details and future programming through a visual preference survey. Background Raleigh Stormwater is designing a wetland conversion of Upper Durant Lake. This project has several goals for the community members and local wildlife who enjoy the preserve.
