Wake Bus Rapid Transit - Southern Corridor Project Update Het Patel, Transportation In November 2016, Wake County voters approved a transit-dedicated half-cent sales tax investment to expand and better connect the public transit network throughout Wake County. Transit improvements identified in the plan include the implementation of four Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridors. On September 4, 2018, City Council authorized the mayor to accept the City’s project sponsor designation for the Wake Transit Plan’s BRT (Wake BRT) projects.
