The Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board (PRGAB) will meet in-person in the Raleigh Council Chambers, 222 W. Hargett Street at 6 p.m. The Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. This meeting will be streamed for public viewing - watch meeting. The PRGAB meets on the third Thursday of each month.
We want to hear from you, Raleigh, about your experience building new friendships in the city. Participants will receive a $25 gift card. Join us at A Place at the Table for a one-hour activity with the City of Raleigh staff. Raleigh City employees are coming together from across departments to learn and practice public innovation to solve real challenges facing the city. The focus of this project is about building community cohesion. We want to hear from you, Raleigh residents, about your experience building new friendships through the activities in your community. How does it work? Arrive at 9 a.m. and get paired up with a Raleigh employee. They will ask you questions about your experience meeting new people. There is nothing you need to prepare, just an openness to share your experiences. As a thank you for your time, we will provide you with a $25 gift card. Who can attend? The Civic Assembly is a process for problem-solving, centered around group discussion from a representative body of the community. Participants of the Assembly were chosen by lottery and are a group reflective of Raleigh’s overall demographic. The Assembly works to offer perspectives of residents on topics and policies that will shape the Reflecting Raleigh: The Next Comprehensive Plan.
