    Provide Your Input on the City's Affordable Housing and Community Development Needs for 2026-2027 Each year, the City of Raleigh receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are used for affordable housing initiatives. Initiatives include creating affordable rental and homeownership housing, helping those experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, providing public services to persons with low- and moderate-incomes, and supporting community development needs. The City of Raleigh is projected to get $4.5 million in federal funding next year. We need your input on how to use it! The FY2026-2027 Action Plan Draft is ready to review and available for public comment through April 15.   • Planning Commission Text Change Committee

    The Text Change Committee is a subcommittee where changes to the zoning code, known as the Unified Development Ordinance, are discussed. This subcommittee reviews the language of any potential code change.   • State of the City Address

    City of Raleigh Museum 220 Fayetteville St, Raleigh, NC

    Mayor Janet Cowell will present her annual State of the City address on Wednesday, March 18. Time: 6 p.m. (doors will open at 5:30 p.m.) Location: City of Raleigh Museum, 220 Fayetteville Street, in Downtown Raleigh There will be a live broadcast of the State of the City address on RTN11 (cable channel 11). It will also be livestreamed, with on-demand viewing after the event on the City's YouTube channel.
