Please take note of two items that are about the monthly reservation for Councilor Harrison's District D Neighborhood Association (DDNA) meetings: I am re-confirming that DDNA will NOT be meeting at Thomas Crowder Woodlands Center on Saturday, June 21st as previously scheduled. Also, based on Councilor Harrison's message below we are also canceling the recurring reservation at Crowder Center for July 19th. Our next DDNA meeting at Thomas Crowder Center should be on August 16th at 9:30am.

Kick off the new school year with some fun in the park! We’ll have backpacks and school supplies on hand, one per child, while supplies last. Note in My Pocket will be on site with free clothes in sizes newborn to adult. Free basic haircuts are available inside from 9 - 11 a.m., but spots are limited. The Tarboro Road Community Center is excited to host a monthly Pop-up Roller Skating session! Join us on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for an afternoon of fun with a live DJ spinning the best old-school R&B, hip-hop, and funky beats for a perfect rhythm skate experience. This event is open to those 18 years and older, and remember, you’ll need to bring your own skates! Stop by the Center to register at the front desk and enjoy a welcoming space for skaters of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced skater, you will have a great time! We’re building a safe, inclusive roller skating community where everyone can have fun and help foster a vibrant, healthy roller skating culture here in the Triangle!
