    City of Raleigh Museum 220 Fayetteville St, Raleigh, NC

    Mayor Janet Cowell will present her annual State of the City address on Wednesday, March 18. Time: 6 p.m. (doors will open at 5:30 p.m.) Location: City of Raleigh Museum, 220 Fayetteville Street, in Downtown Raleigh There will be a live broadcast of the State of the City address on RTN11 (cable channel 11). It will also be livestreamed, with on-demand viewing after the event on the City's YouTube channel. Operated and supported in partnership with Raleigh City Farm, our Urban Farm was created in 2025 as a way to grow and distribute fresh produce to members of the Raleigh community. Take a tour, enjoy some fresh produce, chat with the farmers, learn about volunteer opportunities, and meet your neighbors at this drop-in opportunity to see all things going on with our Urban Farm!     Provide Your Input on the City's Affordable Housing and Community Development Needs for 2026-2027 Each year, the City of Raleigh receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are used for affordable housing initiatives. Initiatives include creating affordable rental and homeownership housing, helping those experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, providing public services to persons with low- and moderate-incomes, and supporting community development needs. The City of Raleigh is projected to get $4.5 million in federal funding next year. We need your input on how to use it! The FY2026-2027 Action Plan Draft is ready to review and available for public comment through April 15. Raleigh City employees are coming together from across departments to learn and practice public innovation to solve real challenges facing the city. The focus of this project is about building community cohesion. We want to hear from you, Raleigh residents, about your experience building new friendships through the activities in your community.
