• Trees and the Comprehensive Plan

Durant Nature Preserve 3237 Spottswood Street, Raleigh

Trees were selected as one of six special topics for focus as Raleigh begins the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan.  This document is extremely important in guiding Raleigh's growth as all zoning and development regulations are required by North Carolina law to be consistent with the plan. As part of the plan update, the City is inviting the public to learn about and share their ideas about trees at two community events: Keynote Presentation: Tuesday, March 11 from 6 to 8 pm at Durant Nature Preserve State of Trees in Raleigh and a Community Conservation: Tuesday, March 18 from 6 to 8 pm at Dix Park Chapel If you are interested in attending one or both events, please register here: https://raleighnc.gov/planning/events/reflecting-raleigh-events
