The Infrastructure and Mobility Committee is a subcommittee of the Planning Commission. This subcommittee can discuss issues related to transportation, transit, and infrastructure policies and improvements and connections related to land use or large transportation planning efforts. As Mordecai Historic Park investigates its own archaeological footprint, the park will host a series of lectures with local experts sharing about their projects at historic sites, cemeteries, and more. In November we welcome Melissa Timo, Staff Archaeologist and Historic Cemetery Specialist with the North Carolina Office of State Archaeology. She will speak on her work in historic cemeteries throughout the state and preservation efforts, challenges, and local resources. Registration is not required but is encouraged.
