The City is currently drafting the 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan, which will guide how the City uses federal and local funds to address homelessness, serve low- and moderate-income communities, and create affordable housing over the next five years. The 5-year Plan includes: Goals and Objectives Building affordable apartments for low-income residents Grants to help the homeless and vulnerable populations Locating affordable housing near transit Workforce Training Programs Geographic priority areas within the City Updates to Citizen Participation Plan The City will be holding six public meetings throughout Raleigh in the fall to discuss this 5-year Plan. "Rubberside Down: A Celebration of Cycling, Creativity, and Community" "Rubberside Down: A Celebration of Cycling, Creativity, and Community" “Rubberside Down” is an in-gallery exhibit featuring local artists Leigh Ramsdell, Dave Green, Sarah Hammond, Zach Storm, and Minori Sanchiz-Fung. The exhibition will open with a free event on Saturday, October 5th, 2-6 p.m. The October 5 opening event will feature a pump track for riding built by Leigh Ramsdell & Dave Green, inflatables created by Katie Stewart, a one-day invitation-only bike show and group ride by Oaks and Spokes, Munjo Munjo as vendor, a walking open studio map, and an in-gallery month long exhibit showcasing artists alongside their work and bikes. The City of Raleigh's Stormwater Management Program will issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in September/October 2024. We are looking for highly qualified firms to provide professional stormwater engineering and support services. With a growing workload, we plan to select multiple firms with demonstrated experience in municipal stormwater projects. Chosen firms will enter into Master Service Agreements, with specific tasks and projects assigned over the next five years. Eligible projects are expected to have construction costs of up to $10 million. Services may include engineering design, planning studies, asset management, water quality improvements, Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI), watershed management, and floodplain studies.
