Yucky, super gross, slimy, sticky, stinky science! This STEM program will bring out your inner mad scientist with hands-on experiments and fun for all. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
It's Fire Prevention Week, and the Raleigh Fire Museum will be open to the public! Join us for an Antique Fire Engine Muster and a chance to view artifacts and images representing over 150 years of firefighting in the Capitol City.
Join us to gather around a warm bonfire, decorate a family pumpkin and enter into our contest. After all that, play our fall games, and purchase your fall favorites including pumpkins, corn stalks, and more from local vendors. We will kick off our event with a drum circle and end the day enjoying live music. The Raleigh Fire Department will be on-site to wrap up Fire Prevention Week. They will be sharing tips and celebrating with their Fire Truck bounce house and slide. This will be free for all. Cost: $35 Harvest Fest Family Package (Includes 4 ride tickets, 4 carnival game tickets, 1 Junior Conductor Adventure, and a pumpkin for the family to decorate.) Additional ride and game tickets will be sold at normal rates.
Help the bat conservation effort by painting and taking home your very own bat house! After enjoying time to paint your custom bat house, we will take a short walk around Lake Wheeler Park to listen for bat calls.
