Technical Teams are topic-based teams of subject-matter experts who meet to provide guidance and develop policy recommendations for the City’s Next Comprehensive Plan. Five teams will be organized by key topics included in the next plan: Land Use Transportation Housing and Neighborhoods Natural Resources Infrastructure and Services Each Technical Team will include: City staff Representatives from City boards and commissions Technical experts from the Raleigh community
We are hosting a public meeting to share information about the Camp Pond Dam project. We will repair the dam to keep the lake, improve safety, and reduce the risk of road flooding in a large storm event. We would like your feedback on the design for this upcoming project. The Police Advisory Board serves as a liaison between the Raleigh community and City Council. The Committee of the Whole is an informal special meeting of the full Planning Commission, held to facilitate further discussions on specific referral items. The Planning Commission bylaws state that rezoning requests that are deemed inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan and future land use map are automatically referred to the Committee of the Whole. Additionally, requests for Planned Development or Campus District are also automatically referred to this Committee. The committee typically meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. The meetings are held at the Raleigh Municipal Building (RMB), located at 222 West Hargett Street, in the Council Chamber or in conference room 305.
