  • “Top” Greene Center African American Cultural Park Hosts Renaming Reception

    John P. (Top) Greene 401 MLK Jr Blvd, Raleigh

    On June 22, 2025, at 3 p.m., the John P. “Top” Greene African American Cultural Park will host a reception to recognize its new name and vision. The event will offer the public an opportunity to experience the celebration of African American culture through art and music. A pop-up exhibition will feature local African American artists and music.  The public will also learn about upcoming programs for the summer, including art classes, creative writing workshops, and genealogy classes.     The City of Raleigh’s Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Program strives to increase opportunities for historically underutilized businesses and promotes diversity and inclusion in City contracting. The City and Wake County Public School System are excited to announce the 26th Annual Small Business Expo this June. At the expo, you will connect with local and state procurement and primary contractors looking for certified minority and women-owned businesses, learn about resources available to you, and attend workshops.
