    During the March 18 meeting, City Council established a temporary Special Committee to carry out a review of the structure, bylaws, budgets and other matters related to the function and operation of the City's advisory boards and commissions. During the initial meeting of the committee, staff will provide a brief review of the current landscape of the City's advisory boards and commissions and solicit input from the Special Committee regarding its desired scope for the review, preferred review timeline and meeting cadence, and other organizational matters pertinent to the work of the committee. There will be food, fun, and free rides for interviewees!  We will be hosting a summer job fair with pizza and carnival-style games.  The carousel and train will be free to guests who interview for a position.  We will also have city staff onsite for interviews. Join our team at historic Pullen Park, North Carolina's first public park.  The Pullen Park campus contains 67 acres of gorgeous parkland, offering a variety of activities to keep guests of all ages engaged and entertained.  Our offerings include a carousel dating to 1911, an original Wurlitzer 125 band organ, a CP Huntington scaled train, kiddie boats, and pedal boats, in addition to a variety of events and programs that we host throughout the year.
