Intro to Grant Funding Workshop for 2025-2026City of Raleigh Arts Commission Grants Interested in learning more about the City of Raleigh Arts Commission’s grant program and whether your nonprofit organization is eligible to apply for this funding? Two one-hour Intro to Grant Funding Workshops will be offered this fall and are open to anyone interested in learning more about the Raleigh Arts Commission’s grant program. The workshops are free, but pre-registration is required. This session is on Oct. 30, but another session will be held Nov. 2. The Intro to Grant Funding Workshop introduces potential applicants to the Raleigh Arts Commission’s work and explores in general how grant funding processes work, with a goal of helping participants decide whether or not this grant program and/or any other is a good fit for their organization. Note that Raleigh nonprofits that have never received Arts Commission grant funding before and plan to apply for a 2025-2026 grant are required to attend one of the two workshop sessions scheduled. On First Friday in November, the City of Raleigh welcomes you to Commerce Place in the Warehouse District. We’ve recently implemented some pedestrian-oriented improvements to Commerce Place, including outdoor seating, overhead lighting, and a striking mural created by local artist Mary Carter Taub. Stop by Commerce Place, located between W. Martin and Davie streets, to join us in celebrating a new pedestrian-friendly “third place” for the people of Raleigh. As a future event center, Commerce Place will fit right in on any First Friday itinerary that includes CAM, the Pit, Boxcar, Videri Chocolate, Raleigh Denim, 311 Gallery and other local businesses. Come out for snacks, games, live music, a raffle for items donated by Warehouse District businesses, and to share your thoughts on the new Commerce Placevision.
