Oakwood community rezoning meeting with Mayor Pro Tem Branch

Open Table Church 824 N. Bloodworth Street, Raleigh

Oakwood will host a community meeting on Thursday, May 18th beginning at 7 PM at Open Table Church (where we vote).  Our District C Councilman (and Mayor pro Tem), Corey Branch, will be there to answer questions and receive feedback regarding the upcoming decision on proposed zoning changes.  Also, participating will be Ira Mable from the City Planning Department, who is one of the architects of the proposed changes.  This will be in a panel discussion format where you can make a statement or you can ask a question.  Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.  It appears the City may have this decision before them by their June 25th meeting.  They need to hear from their constituents in neighborhoods like ours that will be impacted, so please consider attending and letting them know your thoughts.  We also have a Board meeting on Thursday, May 11th.  I hope to see you at both meetings. Dee Penven-Crew President, SPHO
