We will hear a presentation from Dave Klemp who runs a non-profit dedicated to preserving and planting native trees. It's called Trees for the Triangle and they have made some impressive gains in the tree canopy in Raleigh, having planted over 5,000 trees in the past 8 years. Their mission statement is clear: At Trees for the Triangle, our mission is to improve the social and ecological resilience of the Triangle area through the planting of native trees. We believe that trees are vital to the well-being of our communities and the environment. Trees are not just aesthetic additions to our landscapes; they are powerful agents of positive change that can directly improve the lives of everyone in North Carolina.   We hope you can join us on Wednesday evening via zoom to learn more.
