  • Biltmore Hills Park Master Plan: Public Meeting

    Come join Raleigh Parks and let us know what you think about the new proposed plan for Biltmore Hills Park. Tell us how you would make the park and the new park land off Cross Link Road better for everyone to enjoy. We’ll be outside between the pool and playground, with popcorn, snow cones, and games (while supplies last!). A cooled indoor area will also be open for more information and conversations with staff.   • Common or Complicated… One Thread Dance Workshop

    Join us for a powerful community arts experience celebrating the stories, journeys, traditions, and lived experiences that shape our connections to America. Through storytelling, movement, and collaborative artmaking, participants will explore personal histories, family journeys, and their own experiences in America through creative expression while contributing meaningful textile items such as fabric, scarves, T-shirts, and blankets. These collected materials may be incorporated as movement props or assembled into a temporary collaborative art installation featured during the final informal sharing. Together, participants will help weave a living reflection of memory, identity, resilience, and connection. Registration is required.   • World Drowning Prevention Day Clinic

    Forest Ridge Park 2100 Old NC 98 HWY, Wake Forest, NC

    Save a Life, it might be your own! Join us for a free 2-hour hands-on session to learn and practice drowning prevention and resuscitation techniques. The American Canoe Association and Rescue Instructor Alliance will lead this session on World Drowning Prevention Day, setting you up to recognize water hazards, drowning prevention techniques, and how to respond to a distressed swimmer. No prior experience is needed. The session will take place outdoors at Forest Ridge Park's waterfront and have attendees actively participate, including getting into the water at Falls Lake and practicing scenarios along the shoreline. All equipment is provided. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Please contact Forest Ridge Park for more information.
