Come join the City of Raleigh Museum for Family Fun Day! We will celebrate NASA’s Space Exploration Program. This year, we celebrate the 65th anniversary of Americans in space, as well as our upcoming return to the Moon with the Artemis Missions. You can try your hand at a simulated Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) and launch a “Squeeze Bottle Straw Rocket” into orbit around a Lunar target. This casual doubles event is designed for players of all skill levels, focusing on friendly competition, music, food, and community connection. Teams will play multiple guaranteed games before advancing to a short playoff round, keeping the event engaging and social from start to finish. Whether you’re playing, cheering, or just enjoying the atmosphere, this is a great way to kick off March Madness in the park. Marsh Creek Community Center is excited to invite community members who want to see and experience our new Urban Farm! Operated and supported in partnership with Raleigh City Farm, our Urban Farm was created in 2025 as a way to grow and distribute fresh produce to members of the Raleigh community. Take a tour, enjoy some fresh produce, chat with the farmers, learn about volunteer opportunities, and meet your neighbors at this drop-in opportunity to see all things going on with our Urban Farm! The welcoming ceremony to officially establish our partnership will be held at 6 p.m. Check in at the lobby of Marsh Creek Community Center when you arrive to start your tour experience. Join us for a festival of fantasy fun for all ages at Away With The Fairies in Mordecai Historic Park! Enter a market full of fairies, dragons, mischief, and more at this themed event. Set in Mordecai Historic Park's beautiful nature space, Paper & Stars Studio has gathered local makers, food vendors, and independent businesses to bring together the best of what Raleigh has to offer. Enjoy free crafts and activities, find the perfect handmade treasures, and celebrate Spring all while enjoying great food and fun. New this year, make your own fairy or dragon garden to take home! Hop out to Abbotts Creek and meet the Bunny! Participants will have the opportunity to play games and create crafts. After making your way through the crafts and games, stop for a picture with the bunny and pick up a plush egg from the egg patch.
