Celebrate Earth Day at Mordecai Historic Park and get your herb, vegetable, and flower gardens started for the season! Heirloom varieties of plants will be on sale for great prices. All plants are started from seed by the Mordecai Historic Park gardeners. Plants will include tomatoes, peppers, squash, herbs, and much more. Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and provide more information about the garden and grounds at Mordecai Historic Park! Get ready to explore the site, which includes a stream, wetland, and diverse landscape. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and consider bringing water, bug spray, and sunscreen for a comfortable hike. Parking is available along Kyle Drive near the site. Site visits will begin at the Duke Energy utility easement along Kyle Drive.

Touch-a-Truck at Sanderford Road

This is a fun, interactive, family-friendly event that allows children and adults to see, touch, and safely explore their favorite trucks and heavy machinery, as well as meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build the Raleigh community. We will feature a 'No Horn Hour' from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. for guests with sensitive hearing.
