The Historic Raleigh Trolley is taking riders on a tasty tour of downtown Raleigh! Join the Historic Raleigh Trolley Food Tour to learn about some of Raleigh’s oldest and best local restaurants, from barbecue to healthy eats. Enjoy samples along the way from several iconic stores and restaurants. When: Saturday, August 19 Tour Times: 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. Fee: $15

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department announces a historic exhibit opening and a day of historical programming at the John P. “Top” Greene Community Center on September 2, 2023, from 10 am to 3 pm. The exhibit, “A Century in the Making: A Cultural Legacy of South Park and East Raleigh Neighborhoods” is a pilot exhibit developed in conjunction with the South Park East Raleigh Neighborhood Association which explores the people and places that made these unique African American neighborhoods for over 100 years. Historic lectures and programs will be presented throughout the day. This event is free and open to the public.

Volunteer with Raleigh Parks, Stormwater Staff, and fellow community members as we clean up litter on the Walnut Creek Trail during the September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance. Improperly discarded litter is a serious environmental hazard, and without the help of volunteers like you, that waste would make its way to the ocean!
